Before 3pm on Monday, February 10th, you should have (A) posted a complete draft of your first and second podcast scripts on your blog, and (B) practiced reading the scripts to make sure each one is at least 5 minutes long. Please follow the steps below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: *DO NOT COPY/PASTE*
If you would like to use information from an online source, put it in your own words. If I find evidence of copying and pasting, you will not receive credit for the assignment.
Each of your two separate podcast scripts must include:
1. A minimum 5-sentence introduction with these things:
---A welcome to your listeners (For example, "Hello everyone, and welcome to my podcast!"
---Your name and the name of your podcast
---A summary of the topic for this episode of your podcast
---Some interesting facts or other ways to intrigue your audience
While you are writing, use the internet to research your topic, or to fact-check your own knowledge to make sure what you're reporting is correct. BUT DO NOT COPY/PASTE. PUT EVERYTHING IN YOUR OWN WORDS, OR YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT.
Once you have the 50+ sentences of your content, write a closing. (For example, "That's all we have time for today. I hope you've enjoyed my podcast, and join me next time for another episode!")
When you have finished this draft, you should practice reading it while you time yourself with a clock. If you met the minimum of 5 minutes, then publish the post. If you read it in less than 5 minutes, then edit the post and add more content.
I will be checking your blogs before class to give credit for this lab assignment, and I'll be editing the drafts for those I receive in time, so please publish early!
